I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Hi all

My nephew is doing up an S6, and he is looking for suitable hand grips to suit the 1" bars with bar end levers. Can anyone suggest where he might get these from?

Thanks,
Graeme

Hi Graeme
At the VMCC's Founder's Day rally last month, there was a stall called Jeff Hunter Engineering selling all sorts of knee pads, pedal rubbers, bar grips etc. The quality looked good, and I picked up a price list as it included knee grips for pre-war Douglases with tank change. I can't see a web address, but his email is jeffalanhunter@aol.com and he is located at Hall Green in Birmingham.

Regards,
Andrew

Actually just saw that the LDMCC has hand grips too. I've passed on a message to Hamish.
