Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Introduction

Today we're going to have a look at how drafts work, saving them, retrieving them and posting them.

New Topic Started

So, here we have a new topic started, we have entered in a subject line, we have a couple of lines of our message, now we want to save it and come back later and edit it.

Save the Draft

So we go down here to the bottom of the posting window where it says Save Draft and we single left click on that.

A confirmation box appears up the top here warning us that it will not save attachments, poll or event information, so if we have attached any files we'll need to remember to re-add them.

So we'll say OK, now it says that it's been saved and it'll be deleted after 7 days, now that period's variable, I may increase that later on, perhaps 10 might be a better starting point or 14 days or something.

Return to Front Page

OK, so let's go back to the Front Page.

Edit my Draft Message

I've come back later and now I want to edit my message.

I go up here to the top left hand corner and click on My Profile to bring the drop down menu down.

Down here, we have this item 'My Drafts'.

Open the Drafts Window

I single left click on that and it shows me my draft message.

I want to edit this draft, so I'll single left click on that.

Here's my draft, so let's say I want to add a couple more lines.

We'll just copy this line and paste it again down there and we'll call this line 3, not 33, and 4.

There we are, we have made our edits, we'll put a little gap in there.

Save the Draft again.

Now let's say, OK, we want to save it again I'm still not happy with it. So we'll save it again down at the bottom here, save draft.

The same warning message comes up, we accept that, then go back to the front page.

Open Drafts Window and Edit again

Then we go up to our profile here in the top left hand corner, single left click on the little arrow there, select 'My Drafts'.

Here's our second edit of the message, so we'll edit that.

Here's our edited message. Now perhaps we want to add a fifth line. I'll leave it like that, and add on our attachments.

Add on some Attachments

We'll have that one and that one. Click on Open, the attachments come in, so now we have attached our images.

Finally we can post. And here's our message.

So that's how drafts work.
