I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Hi all , I hope this finds you well.
I have been working at Motorcycling Australia ( in Victoria)for about six months now, and have helped set up an on road assistance package for motorcyclists in Australia.
We as motorcyclists , talked to motorcyclists, and this is the product that we produced.
I thought it would be good to publicize it as it is a very much stand alone product.
It costs $39.00 a year and this is what you get Australia wide:

-2 pick ups per year (for break down only)
- 50 kms transport to home or point of storage/repair which ever is closer
- 5 litres of fuel if required
- Jump start
- No limit to age of motorcycle
- No limit to amount of bikes registered by owner ( must be in their name)

The two last points are probably the most important as the age of the bike,
and multiple bikes usually price the assistance out of most of our price ranges.

If you would like more information contact the Australian Riders Division on 03 9684 0509

Regards Michael
