I am pretty desperate for a rear cylinder for my veteran Douglas 1917 2 3/4hp "W" model.   I there is anyone who may have one of these that can be re-sleeved or know where I may find one I would be very pleased for the help.  I have a number of engine parts that I can exchange such as matching crankcases, conrods, crankshaft, flywheel etc. Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Hi All
This looks like a 3 1/2hp, which should make this a 500cc and not the stated 600cc.
It looks good in its un- restored condition.

It's a 4hp Martin, the giveaway being the slightly radial fins on the top af the valve chambers. On the 3 1/2hp they are all parallel.

Hi Graeme
I must admit I was only going by the lack of oil sight glass on the crank case and exhaust design.

Indeed. I must admit I am surprised to see fitted what I thought was the later clutch arrangement - I thought the cone clutch was still being used at this point. I also note that the forks are slightly beefier than those fitted to my 3 1/2s, but I have seen these fitted to a 1916 4 hp model.
