Pre-booked Accommodation

Prospective rally entrants are advised that the ADRPG has prebooked a range of accommodation units at the Canberra Carotel Motel & Caravan Park on their behalf.

The prebooked accommodation includes bungalows of varying configuration and family cabins. A camping area is available. The reservation covers the period from Monday 29 September to Saturday 4 October. Units that have been prebooked may be booked by an entrant for any number of days within this period.

Entrants may avail themselves of the prebooked accommodation by phoning Carotel on (02) 62411377 or by e-mail to info@carotel.com.au quoting the booking number 104401. Upon confirming a booking the pre-booking will be transferred to the entrant. No deposit has been paid in respect of the prebooking.

Entrants will be invited to register on arrival at the Carotel at a 'meet and greet' reception on the afternoon of Tuesday 30 September – more details will be published later.

Have you secured your bookings at the Canberra Carotel Motel and Caravan Park yet?

Whether your choice is a unit, caravan site or a camping spot we suggest that you choose to stay at this venue which will be the official hub for the rally. Experience has proven that the more entrants residing at the rally hub, the more enjoyable is the event.

We advise that you secure your booking early. The rally is being held during the spring school holiday period and bookings at the Carotel around the rally date are expected to be heavy.

Further, Carotel management have advised us that any of our tentatively pre-booked accommodation not taken up and confirmed by June 30 will lapse on that date and bookings made after then will be served subject to public availability. So don't be disappointed – make your bookings now...

...and please remember, when booking at the Carotel be sure to quote the Douglas Rally booking number 104401. The reservation will be transferred to your name and a deposit of one night's tariff will be payable immediately. The deposit is fully refundable against the final cost of the accommodation and is subject to $20.00 retention if the booking is cancelled within one month prior to the booked date of arrival. The pre-bookings can be secured for any number of nights during the period 29 September to 5 October.

Rally 2008 entrants are reminded that accommodation prebooked on their behalf at the Canberra Carotel Motel and Caravan Park will not be available after the 30 June 2008.

It should be noted too that Canberra Floriade, (a bonus event for Rally Attendees and their families) will be running concurrently with the Rally and this is likely to impinge on accommodation availability.
