1922 2 3/4hp main bearings
« on: 10 Nov 2018 at 17:58 »
Hello all,

Can someone please confirm the main bearing set up on a 1922 2 3/4hp engine?

I believe it should be a 6304 for the timing side and a 4304 for the drive side. Should the drive side be a self-aligning bearing? Is a double row roller preferred to a double row ball bearing?

The engine that I am rebuilding has been mess about such that there is only a single row roller in the drive side crankcase with spacers as appropriate.

Thanks in advance.

Chris
