(1/2) > >>

Ian:
Hi folks, here is a copy of an email that went out to Douglas people on the rally mailing list - please let Kris know if you want to be added.

Hello Douglas Enthusiast

Planning is underway for 2024 National Douglas Rally to be held at Crookwell NSW. Crookwell sits on top of the Great Dividing Range, 44km from Goulburn and enjoys a nice cool climate, so don’t forget to bring a jumper!

Arriving Sunday 7 April to settle in and a short shakedown run, to Friday 12 April 2024.

The runs will be mostly on quiet country roads, while avoiding the really big hills and dirt roads.

The rally will be centred at Crookwell Caravan Park, Laggan Rd which has powered hardstand sites and grassed camping sites. There are no cabins or onsite accommodation at the Caravan Park. To make a booking Ph. 02 48321988

Motel accommodation has been reserved at the nearby Uplands Pasture Motel. 11 rooms are available ph. 02 48321999 and mention the Douglas Rally when booking.

Please let us know if you intend coming, to help with organising. Also, let us know if you are not interested in receiving further emails.

Thanks

Kevin and Kristine Boardman

Latest update from the organisers :

Hello Douglas Enthusiasts
We're glad to see entries coming in for 2024 Douglas Gathering at Crookwell.

For those of you wanting motel accommodation, there are 3 rooms remaining at the Upland Pastures Motel. They are wanting to know how many more people need rooms there.

They also have available a house able to sleep 7. 2 x Queen bed bedrooms and one bedroom with 3 x King single beds.

Contact Upland Pastures Motel ph. 02 48321999 before Monday 19 February to book or reserve as things are getting busy in Crookwell.

Morning Tea
As in the previous Gathering, we will be having morning tea at Crookwell Caravan Park before leaving for the runs. The exception to this is on Friday when we will be riding to Red Robin nursery for morning tea, then returning to the caravan park by 12pm. This will enable people to leave in the afternoon if necessary.

Wednesday afternoon there will be an opportunity to Bring, Buy, Swap or Sell any spare Douggy bits you have lying around the shed, that just might be what someone else is looking for.

Thursday lunch will be at Grabben Gullen Hotel, Please indicate numbers if you will be having lunch there. In the afternoon we will have a short meeting at the Caravan park to plan the next Douglas Gathering.

Attached is an updated itinerary.

Looking forward to seeing many of you in April,
Kevin and Kristine

Dave.:
Is there a day or time you would recomend for spectator viewing for a non riding visitor?
