Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

The 9th Australian Douglas Rally was held last week in Berri, SA. The 25 entrants enjoyed riding round the district over three days and surprisingly there were very few significant mechanical issues. It was great to see some newly restored bikes out and about with a few more under restoration - hopefully to be completed in time for the next rally.

The organisers did a great job and everything ran smoothly.

At our meeting of the attendees we agreed that we will run a rally every year. The next one will be in Crookwell, NSW at a similar time of year. This is a fantastic venue for riding old bikes so hopefully we get lots of people dragging out their machines. The intention is to have four days of riding. More details on dates, etc will be released soon.

We also have a volunteer to host the following year so all looking good !
