Could I ask what thread the standard fuel taps are on mk5 models please?
mine are leaking a tad and stiff to operate so buying new ones..just not sure of thread in tank..

Can't help on threads but interested where you're buying new ones from.  Mine leak but I was going to have a go at re corking them.

The thread is 1/4" BSP.
I have always success with an overhaul of the taps. Often it is only necessary to renew the corks in the "Ewarts" taps.
If the round bore for the cork plunger is not round, it is usefull to ream it out.
