DRAGONFLY POINTS

Obviously finding the original Miller points for a Dragonfly is now virtually impossible so does anybody know of a similar alternative that could be adapted to fit?

About 15 years ago (when we were involved with LDMCC spares), I made a batch of points conversions that used trimmed down Lucas points from any 60's British bike (the type that fits in the timing cover contact breakers). The conversion involved making a new distributor base plate and a swivel plate (to which the cut down fixed point was rivetted). The moving point then just needed the return spring cut shorter to pick up the terminal screw through the side of the distributor body.
 If you are finding your bike is burning points, try moving the condensor on to the side of the coil, where it gets plenty of ventilation, instead of cooking under that alloy cover.
  I'll have a look to see if I have still got a photo of the conversion,

Sometime ago when Halfords had loads of points I found a Fiat one that fitted except for length of spring which was easy to cut short. It is still working. I just held the Dougy one up against a few on the rack however I don't know where you can do that now. Maybe Stafford or one of the other shows.
