80/90 Plus stub for carburettor
« on: 22 Dec 2022 at 06:33 »
On my 80plus are the stubs for the carbs missing.
I think it is very difficult to find these. So my idea is to make a model and cast a set in aluminium.
I will fit 276 Amals with stub fitting.

Has someone measures or even a drawing of these stubs (I think itīs the same for left and right cylinder head).

I will be happy for help.

Michael

Michael,
I doubt that alloy castings of that thin a section would be strong enough. I have just looked through my factory list of components used on the 'Plus', and it shows the stub assembly as a fabricated part (Number SA2758) and the individual items as 38016 (flange) and 38017 (stub pipe) - both in mild steel. Both LH and RH being the same.

   Hope this helps,
                           Regards,
                                         Eddie.
