I'm not familiar with the engine, but I suppose it was a part of a Marconi wireless set of some kind. The BTH magneto M2/AD2/1G863621 seems to date from July 1931, and is the same type of magneto used on side-valve Douglas motorcycles of the day.

There should be an engine number somewhere that would help identify the engine.

Thanks, for your reply Leon. I found this engine number.
What value does it represent? I'm thinking about selling.

In Appendix 2 of The Best Twin, Clew lists prefix 35/B twice: the first time as "350cc stationary governing engine (Marconi) sv plate head", then under the 1932 Models "Model D/E 350cc sv Marconi stationary engine, Aluminium plate heads". Yours seems to have the aluminium heads, so given the July 1931 magneto, I guess the date is late 1931 - 1932.

Sorry, no idea of value.

Cheers

Leon
