Daren,  are there any bits in there that I am likely to need when I eventually try to repair my starter ratchet?

Thanks.

Daren, I have not taken it apart yet so dont really know what I need!   However  the ratchet slips if I more than gently kick the pedal.

There seems to be two shafts associated with the starter, the pedal shaft and the ratchet shaft, if it is convenient for you to extract the ratchet shaft and all the bits on it that would surely get the piece(s) I need.  The book says the main ratchet wheel is only sold as a pair with the 11 tooth bevel pinion from the rear of the layshaft, so that one two please.

Part numbers
11 tooth bevel pinion from layshaft   pn 27833  (plate 16 in my parts book)

Ratchet shaft   pn 25991   (plate 18)

plus these parts  (which are all on the Ratchet shaft)
                               25763
                                25771
                                36133
                                27832
                                SA.2818
                                 SA.2402
                                22409
                                16369
                                 25772
                               18114
                                19786

Of course if these bits are in good order that would be great but even if they are not I can hopefully get them reconditioned without having to have my bike laid up for months.

Any comments on what lengths you have to go to get these bits out would be gratefully accepted!

Thanks John

Hi John
I have a gearbox that is missing the gear change cover and some of the final drive but the ratchet feels good do you want the whole box as you could rebuild it and add the missing bits when fitting to your bike? I think the postage would be around AU$100 to ship the whole thing but thats only a guess Regards Daren my mobile # in Aus is 61 413 02 66 50

Hi Daren

Sounds great,  whatever is most convenient for you.  Lets plan on sending the complete thing we can always review if the freight makes it prohibitive.
Please get an estimate on the freight and let me know what the total is you would be wanting for it.

My email is  xxxxxxxxxxxx  Please use personal message or email link at left.
thanks
