2 3/4hp big end cap failure

I was wondering if I could tap into the wealth of knowledge on the forum.
Have had a big end failure in my 1913 2 3/4hp motor, think that a bolt broke. Fortunately it was not being ridden at the time and the barrels and pistons are OK, crankcase has minor bruising.
In the box of spares there is another crankshaft and con rods, but don't know what they are from.  The original con rods are flat with a "P" stamped in them.  The spare rods are ribbed and have ""497" on them.  Can I use these ribbed rods in the 1913 motor?
