Sorry Tim, but neither of your stands look to be original. Douglas front stands were made from round tube flattened at the end to accept a pivot eye cut from flat plate (and then brazed in). The central lug for attaching to the mudguard is usually slotted, then counterbored for the washer and nut. Rear stands normally have oval tube, again with a brazed in plate lug for the pivot (this also incorporates a travel stop that contacts the underside of the lower frame tube). The stand cross brace had 2 washers to centre the stand in the mudguard clip, and relied solely on the clip to hold it in place. If you can get hold of a copy of 'The illustrated History of Douglas Motorcycles', pages 16 - 20 have some good, close up shots of early 20's bikes (including the stand details).
I am also in agreement with 'Cardan' and 'Hutch' regarding the odd fuel pipe on your machine - it certainly looks like a 'previous owner cobble up'.
