Morning Neil

The knee grips are the same for both tank types of the light weight Aeros. In fact for all of the Aeros.
The knee grips that you want are John Bull No 19. The Douglas club pre-war spares dept should have them in stock
And if you need the securing plates to hold them in place, there are currently some for sale on eBay sellers I.d is 34micknick.

Thanks Steve, I did see them but had no clue they would fit, he’s selling 3 2 right and 1 left. So should any John Bull no19 fit these plates?

Sorry my reply was a bit vague, if I just bought John Bull no19 rubbers from anywhere would they fit? Or do the ones from the club have Douglas on them?

Cheers

Ah see what you mean.

No the club ones don’t have Douglas on them, the John Bull grips used by Douglas in the mid 1930s onward had no machine ident on them. The best you can hope for is as per the attached. The more that these items are copied, the more out of shape they become and definition is lost.
