Aero 350 pistons
« on: 06 Jan 2022 at 13:14 »
Hi all does anyone know the dimensions of the above pistons, if they are still available or an equivalent that can be used ? As I’m looking to possibly bore out some barrels.

Cheers

Don't know whether this will help. Not easy to read but someone else may have a better copy

Evening
Ref the 350cc Aero pistons, have you tried the Douglas club? They did source a large quantity of Hepolite “Douglas “ pistons when Hepolite ceased trading many years back. Maybe lucky.

As for the book, if you do go for one take care as there are many incorrect listings and statements, but does still have some good info.

Cheers Dads bike, with reference to the pistons (and this is probably a stupid question) when it says "metal" what are the prefixes for? i presume Al is aluminium but what are the other 2??

Evening
There are no stupid questions !
Ref Hepolite pistons,
Al is aluminium
Ci is cast iron
H’lex is heplex which is a low expansion silicon alloy.
For a 1936 350cc Aero go for ref 5318 on the Hepolite catalog sheet.
