Petrol Tank Cap T35

I,m missing a petrol tank cap for a T35 tank. (for my new projekt)
It seems hard to find.
I would like a cap in any condition.
Has anyone experience in reproduction or make other caps fit to the T35 tank?

I am told that a petrol cap of a Rudge is the same and the Rudge club do stock them.

Hi Michael
I am not sure if the petrol tank cap for the T35 and MK V are equal. However I had to make a new one for my MK V as the old one had a crack. I made it out of a piece of solid brass bar and plated it with Replica Chrome form Gateros Ltd. The spring blade and the chain bow, I took from the old cap.
The groove that connets to the breather hole appears in the drawing sketch to be in line with the two screws for the spring blade attachment, but actually I made it square to these screw holes.

I attach my  drawing sketch for the petrol tank cap, and will try to post some photos also.

thanks for the drawing and mesures.
The repro tank cap looks very good.
Do you have made it by your own?
Unfortunately I´m not able to use my lathe at the moment.

Your petrol tank cap looks fine, and it looks very much like the one I made for my B29, but it was smaller in diameter than the Mark ones.

I did make the brass part in my lathe, and also electro plated it in my Replica Chrome bath. Hovewer I had the piece of brass from a friend as I have none of proper diameter, and likewise I got the 2mm petrol proof gasketmaterial from him also. The blade spring (if that is the correct name) took I from the fractured cap.

Is the neck and throat of the T35 tank equal to the Mark V tank?
I could make one for you if you are not in a hurry, but I dont think my friend have more brass of that dimension and no more of the the gasket material. Do you have?

the MK1 cap is the same as on the other MKs.
I need the cap for a 80+.
I will try to find a piece of brass of the right measure and I also will write to you.

thanks for the information, but Austin seven is a very rare car in Germany. So it is difficult for me to find out.

The oil tank cap off an Austin 7 is what it is said will fit as 1920s EW Duggie tank caps.

The Austin 7 Club are remaking them even, although they are (very) slightly different.
They are precisely 2"

thank you for this information. Good to know the Austin cap fits the small EW tank.
Seems so there are no caps on the "market" to use with a modification for T35´s petrol tanks.
may be itisthe only way Sören do with a complete selfmande cap!
