This pic appeared in a previous thread on EW350 piston replacements.
It was common to have wide rings then, and no oil ring.
And iron pistons. Look familiar ?

I haven't explored that part yet.
Its odd that this subject is so poorly covered - pistons are the heart of the beast !

From reading up here, folks have fitted everything and anything that will remotely fit !
So where are all the folks with tea chests of NOS parts ??

I came across someone who had ~40,000 sets of piston rings for a fairly obscure model (not Douglas)
He said that based on demand he had approx 20,000 years worth of supply....
