Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Hi, looking for alternative spark plugs for use in my 1930 T6, 600 side valve engine.
Any recommendations from the group?

Regards

Evening Frode
The pitmans book of the Douglas 5th edition states that Lodge H1 are the requirements for both the OHV and side valve engines, the 6th edition states Lodge C3 for side valve engines. I have used both these in my 1936/37 600 SV units and find starting on a hot engine is easier with the H1.
New old stock items are hard to find, so from www.gsparkplug.com a modern replacement for the Lodge H1would be
Champion K8G or NGK A4. And for the Lodge C3 from info@lsengineers.co.Uk would be Champion D14 or NGK AB6.

Good luck Steve

I am using three-point plugs from Accuspark

"Austin 7 AccuSpark Spark plugs AA77C, as Champion D16" available via flea bay UK.

They seem to work well in my Aero 600.

Cheers for now
Doug
