Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Hi just done an upgrade on a '56 Dragonfly. I've changed it to twin coil wasted spark and installed a Velleman kit fed by the points (had to change to neg earth for kit to work).

Everything is working fine except for the points. There is no continuity between the contacts when closed. If I bridge the points with screwdriver and remove then I get spark.

Are points available for this bike or are there any alternatives?

The club spares scheme may have points.
Am I right in thinking that the velleman kit is one that only uses a small current through the points to trigger the electronic citrcuit to drive the coil? If so then the points should be reusable if the contacts are cleaned up unless there is another problem with them.
