Take the clutch inspection cover off the bellhousing and check that there is some free movement on the clutch release operating arm. If the arm is hard up against the inside of the bellhousing, you will need to adjust the arm ( there is a clamp bolt half way along the arm to facilitate this). If the arm is clear of the bellhousing but prevented from moving by the clutch cable, adjust the cable back to give about 3mm of movement. Without this movement, the release bearing will under permanent load and protest loudly. With the clutch properly adjusted, check whether the noise still persists, then try lifting the clutch while the engine is running - this will establish whether the noise is coming from the back of the engine or the gearbox.
