MK clutch springs
« on: 18 Nov 2020 at 11:06 »
Has anyone found a good source of clutch springs? ideally inner and outer although a slightly stronger outer only would be OK (solo)
As the Club Spares have none at the moment and mine got severely singed getting the flywheel off i need a set
otherwise I shall have to start measuring spring balancing guessing and looking on the web

Tim,
        I have checked the sizes of the postwar clutch springs - they are :- Outer, 1 7/16" long x .780"dia x .093"wire, 7½turns wound RH.  Inner, 1 7/16" long x .530"dia x .066"wire, 10 turns wound LH.
You could try Lee Springs at Wokingham, Berks. - they have a good selection of all sorts of springs on their website.

  Regards,
                  Eddie.
