For sale
The two outer Webb’s from late 1936 on, crankshaft. No centre Webb.

Condition is truly horrible but may be of use to someone.
£5 plus postage.

Steve,

The timing side identifies it as a 1937-38 Aero. The shaft extends to the timing cover and runs in a bronze bush. The '36 shaft is shorter, and stopped just beyond the timing pinion.

Morning Doug.
In my experience that’s not wholly correct. The change over to the extended crank started at. Factory order No 6001, late 1936 and the remains of this crank fit at about half way through that production run.

This has brought to light some interesting details which will be part of a forthcoming post on the the evolution of the 1936-38 500/600cc Aero models.
