hello,

I have also an douglas motorcycle,

The number on the motor is 32575 , and the number on the frame is 32468 , and the number on the gearbox is 26900 .
Like the list here on this forum by " identifying douglas motorcycles " schould it be from the year 1917 ,,,,,????

It has no starter ,it has a two speed gearbox. it has no drumbrakes , it  has one chains
from the flyweel to the gear box and a belt  from the gear box to the rear wheel .

could some one give me any explanation ore more details to identify the right year of building...

( sorry for my bad englisch......)

greatings from Belgium,

Jaak

Doug may like to comment on this question? - from my check of the tables, Jaak is correct in asking if the bike may be from 1917 and not 1915 per the crankcase casting - the frame and engine numbers are more within range of the 1917 2 3/4's but the gearbox number seems way off - maybe it's not the original gearbox?

Can you post a photo Jaak - see here for instructions about uploading or sending photos << https://www.douglasmotorcycles.net/index.php/topic,321.0.html >>

Hi Jaak

I am sorry I cannot give you more information but I suggest you also try the London Douglas Motor Cycle Club.   They have a web site and I recommend them for all the assistance you might require including information and spare parts.
