Dragonfly of despair Powder coating
« on: 23 Jun 2020 at 17:40 »
Progress is being made this week with the bike stripped down and the parts taken for powder coating. I have chosen RAL1000 as the nearest paint match but wondered what the good people on this forum would make of that. Compared to the surviving bits of paint on the old frame RAL1000 is a slightly greener beige while RAL1001 isn't as green. I promise not to park the bike next to any other Dragonflies to make direct comparison.  I plan to have the tank and tool box painted to match the frame colour once it is powder coated.

Hi Andy firstly thank you for the info for wheel building much appreciated, as for the powder coating I have just got mine back I went for the 1001 as like you say it looks less green than 1000 but like you I am not planning on putting it next to a show bike.

Cheers Kevin...
