Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

M32 Footrest lugs

Hi all,

My frame is now back from the finishers, and very pretty it is too. Further to my last question re footrest mountings, it seems I have a slightly different arrangement to the ones detailed elsewhere on the forum. There are two holes each side within a vertical slot, and the actual footrest bar was though the lower one, the bar being somewhat bent. When I tapped it out, it brought a length of thin wall 1/2" bore tubing with it. This piece of tube was originally brazed within the lugs, but was latterly held in by dirt and rust.

Would the two vertical holes suggest a separate mounting for the footrests and brake lever perhaps, or just some kind of potential height adjustment?
Any ideas gratefully received!

Many thanks
Doug
