"Bent" front spindle links?
« on: 13 Feb 2020 at 09:18 »
Hi All
I'm a tad confused with the condition of my front wheel spindle links. Looking at the photograph, the top one is bent and the lower one ever so slightly curved.
My question is, are they correct or has the machine in the past suffered a front end collision?
What are your thoughts?
Many thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
I would think they are OK, but to be sure clamp the pivot end down by the boss to a flat plate, then check that the wheel spindle end is also square to the plate. The offside link on a 'Plus' does look a bit odd as it has a bit more machined out to clear the mudguard stay attachment plate.

  Regards,
                 Eddie.

Hi Eddie
Had a check and it's 0.32mm out, is that within reasonable tolerance?
Cheers
Dave
