CW Rear Sprocket
« on: 05 Jul 2019 at 09:57 »
I realise this request is like trying to find a needle in a haystack but would anyone have a rear wheel sprocket for my 1925 CW? I would be delighted to hear of a sprocket in any condition!

Jeff

My  15 douglas has a belt drive but I have had loads of sprockets for rear wheels made up over the years for all sorts of bikes what is special about the CW is it dished?

Yes - I believe it is dished and fits to the wheel on a tapered spline. Ill see if I can round up some pictures. Jeff

Jeff, a friend of mine is in the final stages of making a batch of them on his CNC lathe and milling machines. He's just waiting for a special magnetic chuck to arrive for the U.S. My rather worn original sprocket was 3-D laser scanned and then any defects were corrected in the software. As he does not have a CW he's sending me the first prototype for testing  :D  So as soon as I have one I'll let everyone know!

Cheers, Keith...

Jeff - FYI - I've just started the progress report on these repro sprockets in the General section.  :D
