The joys of a 2 3/4 Douglas
« on: 16 Jun 2019 at 00:36 »
I have only managed to ride old bikes a couple of times in the year since I have been sick. Our club runs a rally each year at Moss Vale focused on smaller and older bikes. I decided to try to ride our 2 3/4 as its nice and light ! When we looked back it had not been ridden since my son rode it at Cooma in 2017 - way too long

After a bit of prep during the week I had a lovely ride from Moss Vale up through Canyonleigh before I decided that was enough for a first day back. About 60kms return.

The Douggie did not miss a beat - pulled up all the hills in top gear - and most importantly put a massive smile on my face. They are such a gem of a machine to ride when running well

Can't wait to get out on it again
