« on: 02 May 2019 at 05:29 »
Hallo
My english is not so good!
I m new in the Forum , i have new a EW from 03/26. The last Owner in the Documents was Reginald Henry Body from Biddisham Somerset. He owned the bike 1979. Henry was the short Distance Race Champion with Douglas Bikes. Do anywhere knows more about Henry? I hope he is always on live?
The EW was Long time in Germany in a Museums Collection , and now by me.

Much greats from Germany

Hello Manfred,
Yes, Henry Body is still with us - we have a chat on the phone most Friday evenings. Henry gave up sprinting about 3 years ago (at the age of 82) - he has had an incredible record of success with his 600 Douglas - he still holds the record for unlimited cc vintage machines on every sprint strip he has ridden on - a record that is very unlikely to be beaten. Unfortunately, Henry now has a few medical problems that prevent him from racing, but in 2010, he celebrated 60 years of competitive motorcycling (probably the cause of some of his ailments!)

  Regards,
                 Eddie.

Hello Manfred,

congratulation to your EW350; with Henry Body it had a very well known owner in the past.
I hope your bike is in good condition.
I´m working on a 1930 H3 350cc bike, a model that follows the EW.
