S6 Tappet Adjustment: What Am I doing Wrong?
« on: 28 Mar 2019 at 21:09 »
Am I being stupid or what?  I have this tool in the toolbox of my recently acquired S6 and I assume it is for locking the threaded adjuster on the end of the valve...so you can undo the tappet nut.

It sort of loosely fits into three of the slots on the ring, but in no way does it hold it firm.  What am I doing wrong?  At the moment, I reverting to a traditional C spanner....

Thanks

Paul

You’re probably doing nothing wrong. Mine does the same. If the corners on either the tool or locking nut are rounded off at all then it will slip. A small c spanner is probably a better option.
