254 carbs and the T35

 hi as you know from earlier posts im new to the douglas , got onto the amal site about carb parts , there is a repair kit but when ordering they want to know what main size jet and what size needle jet with a few options , what would be a fairly safe size to order to start with … mines the 1947-48 T35

Hi,
     Firstly, carbs are 274's (not 254). The original main jets would have been 80's, but with modern fuel, 85's would be better. The needle jets are .106 (mixture adjustment can be made by lifting or dropping the needles).

opps , typo on the274, keyboard has a mind of its own .. thanks eddie wasn't 100% sure on what jets to order to start with , decided to try and get these carbs in order before trying more modern carbs , have picked up a set of cb175 carbs which might do the job but as said will try to get these 274 ones sorted first
