Be careful how much you heat up the drum - some rear sprockets were soldered onto the drum!

Hi
Contacted Bristol Metal Spraying they were very help full ,they will do one off jobs  but not brake drums
apparently the braking action can strip the metal sprayed from the drum. Plus as Eddie
remarked the heat transfer is greater than the light weight drum will take. Thanks any way

Couldn't you have the drum turned and a steel sleeve inserted to bring it back to standard size?

As the drum is only about 4mm thick, the sleeve would have to be very thin, and I wouldn't like to have to trust it to stay in place under the braking forces - especially as the heating and cooling could cause it to contract.
