is it normal that the valve is offset relative to the pusher

the cylinder head is detachable

I wonder if the cylinders mounted on the engine are the right models

The engine is a 350cc EW model, 1926-27. These initialy were blind cylinder but later were offered with detachable heads (as a Deluxe EW). The later detachable heads and cylinders will interchange with the blind cylinders.

The valves and tappets are offset. A large head on the tappet adjuster screw made up the difference of the offset.

The idea behind offsetting the valves is that they so should rotate !
