Hi all
My 1923 sales catalogue shows that wooden footboards covered in industrial "lino" with metal edging were still in use on all models with footboards. It would appear that alloy footboards were introduced for the 1924 models, CW, SW, OW and OB. These alloy footboards boards did not have a raised side. They were the same low height both sides but had raised ends front and rear. These used 26 domed rubber pads on each side. Alloy boards with a raised side appear to have been introduced with the EW model in 1926 and this design used only 20 flat rubber pads each side; not the domed variety. If anyone knows better I am happy to be corrected.
Chris.
