Douglas Bikes and Spares from Aust
« on: 06 Sep 2016 at 10:21 »
Hello All,
I read with interest in the New Conrod adds that a 40 ft container load of Dougs and spares is arriving  in Britain I presume. No they were not mine not quite ready to move mine on yet. Didnt know there was that much around. The question is who and where it was it sent from. Just curious I was not a potential buyer.

regards Alan

Hi Alan

I suspect these are from Kevin Cass's estate, via Steve Hazelton

There was also a large collection from central Victoria that may have been the source. Any idea of the type of parts - I think this collection was mostly Douglases of the ride-to-work variety, although there was talk of an early machine c1910. I heard this from someone who heard it from... you know how it goes.

Cheers

Leon
