Douglas EW 1929

In trying to cure various oil leaks, I found that the forward oil pipe on the left-hand side was draining down, even at rest . I shall probably have to fit a tap to stop this, but surely there must have been some anti-gravity device, otherwise all these bikes would have the same problem?

Hi Patrick,
My EW leaked down from the front left oil outlet on the tank as well. Even though it has a 'Clacket' valve the same as the one on the front cylinder oil feed. I fitted a tap as well.
Cheers
Andy

Thanks, Andy. I have decided to fit a tap also.
