Drive Belt for TS
« on: 09 May 2016 at 19:39 »
Does anyone know of a good supplier for a belt for my TS please? I'm not going for a one piece, but I'm being pedantic and trying for what came with the bike. Locally it's available at 80 dollars a metre. I've had one quote for 90 pounds from the UK and I'm waiting for one from  Australia. Sounds like it's quite an expensive item? Am I right? I should probably just go local I guess. Any New Zealanders have any contacts?

if you don't care about originality try the power twist.  Made from modern polymers and convenient.  I've been running it on my cannonball bike and it works well.  it had about 2 links worth of initial stretch but has not required further adjustment.  Has to be run very tight but I've pulled up 10% grades in low gear with it on my 1913.  I've been able to take links in/out with only my fingers (it's easier with a pair of pliers however).  I've been running the red and it stands out, as I look at the website they now look to have a black version.   http://www.fennerdrives.com/powertwist-plus/

Sorry TCK, just saw this.  I use the B/17/L size and it fits the pulleys perfectly.
