pressing clutch part
« on: 19 May 2016 at 08:25 »
26 ew clutch

on sunday I made up a press die to make the sheet metal flange that goes around the springs...
having some trouble as the metal I was using would split just as I reached the final shape..
one of the club members suggested maybe I was using ...the wrong type of sheet metal...I was using zincalume  a roofing ducting product...went over to a panel beaters picked up a tailgate off a vw anorak...
yeah...what a big difference...working very well...just need to make some trimming dies..
and another dougy part is in unlimited supply

can any body tell me the thickness of the spring pressure plate...on the outer of the flywheel...might have another go at that die...
