RPM/tachometer on a 2 3/4?
« on: 31 Mar 2016 at 15:01 »
anyone know of a product that is easily installed/attached to effectively measure RPM's?  Perhaps one that uses the reflective tape installed on the flywheel?  Would like one that is like a gauge during my riding as opposed to the handheld models.

Just curious if anyone has had success in this endeavor?

From what I have read these inductive ones should work off the plug wire.  Just had to make sure it was programmable to match the sparks per revolution of the engine.  The newest model is programmable...used to have to buy one specific to your need.  I don't think I'll run it during the cannonball, I want it more for testing gearing ratio's of my pulley/belt drive.
