I have a Mk 1 T35 Engine number 2340 , the book says tappet clearance 2 thou cold and 4 thou hot , but on the crankcase its stamped 0.10".
can anyone confirm what is right.

  the.1??  must be douglas was using the chinese system back then...  .1 millymeteres ...makes about .0039

The Germans and most of the Continental vehicles also used the metric system and as shuswapkev says 0.10mm is 004".
