Douglas 90 Plus colour
« on: 16 Feb 2015 at 11:32 »
I have got a 90 Plus and would like to know a colour code (close to the orig.)
The bike has mostly newer paint (shure several years old and also not okay anymore),  sprayed over in a golden beige (looks like BSA Golden Flash colour).
The front mudguard is in a bit darker gold (bronze); could be still factory colour.
Can someone help with (any) information?

Michael,

You could refer to the Douglas Club Technical Rep, he has some info on colour options. My Plus uses a colour produced by a company here in the UK who can provide aerosol (cans) or product for use by commercial finishers. I am not sure how close the colour is to the original: The company is RS Motorbike Paint. They have a useful website: rsbikepaint.com. Hope this helps.

Hi Giz,

thanks for the information.
Iīm not now a member of the club. But I think about to get in touch to the secretary of it.
I will need also some spares to restore the bike (and a further M35).
But I donīt know, how complicated it is, to be a member from Germany (with ordering and payment).
(There are other clubs of other makes and it is tis not a pleasure to order spares.)

My +90 has some newer paint on it, looks like the golden (beige) colour of BSA Golden Flash. The front mudguard is in a darker golden finish, may be itīs still the first paint!

I would like to know more about the bikes, before Im starting up the restauration.
