colour schemes of T35
« on: 28 Jan 2015 at 14:23 »
Hi,
I´m restauring a T35 MK1 +  MK5.
The MK1 is black and has a dark blue / chrome tank. I´m not shure about this colour on tank is original.

The MK5 is complete black, but it is an older restauration and no factory collour.

Are there different colour schemes for that bikes. I know there are often MK5´s in polychromatic blue.

Can someone tell me more?

Michael

Hi Michael
The Mk V was available in three different colour schemes as far as I know. The most common is the Polychromatic Blue. Some late models were available in Polychromatic Green. My machine is one of a batch of 50 manufactured in 1950 in black and silver. Quite a few machines have been subsequently finshed in this livery but most of them are incorrect in having a black tank with silver band. The correct scheme is for the tank to be silver with a black band. Chris.

Hi Chris,

thanks for the informations about the MK5 schemes.
Is the tank on black bikes always silver / black and never chromed and black?
Do you know something about the colours of MK1?

Michael
