Could someone please advise on the correct orientation of the brass washer with the hole which goes in to the crank case, at disassemble the one in the main case was near the bottom and the other one was loose are they meant to be both at the bottom position to let oil out or 1/4 way around to hold oil in.
Thanks in advance.

Hi additional questions are the brass washer required? Thought heard best to remove the washers. What's peoples thoughts.

Many Thanks

carl denton

orientation looks correct that is how my one was fitted , I think the idea of the washer was to hold the oil in the bearing and the small hole was to let it drain out slowly if you was to run without it would the bearing hold enough oil . not sure .

yours carl.

Hi see picture attached is the felt washer used with oiling or do people remove?
