Hi Doug,
Thanks for your reply. Still a bit up in the air on this.
Have taken a couple more pics. Part B  keeps the four springs in place from what I can gather. The rest of the pics show the assembly but still not sure where A fits in the scheme of things.There are no tell tale signs or markings as to where it ends up. In your response, were you not relating to what I have designated B?

Doug's reply is correct. Read it carefully. Your part A goes on the other end of the springs from part B - inside the clutch.

Here you go; its the yellow piece.
The drawing is from an EW manual.
