Clutch cable anchor for RA, OB, and probably others

Can anyone help with a clutch cable anchor that bolts on to the drive side crankcase of a vintage OHV Douglas? The bolt holes are 5/16" diameter and about 2" apart. Some damage is OK.

No luck so far. Yes I could make one, but I'd very much like an original one as this part is one of the few needed to complete the bike, most of which is very original. I'm also looking for the little tommy-bar pinch bolt that screws into the aluminium and locks the cable adjuster.

Any help appreciated.

I'm working on the crank cases now, and since the clutch cable anchor attaches with the crank case bolts... Please help if you can! Swaps or cash.

Motor rebuild is underway with Bathurst as the target for the maiden outing. Plenty of work, but nothing impossible yet.

         I have had a look in my junk box and found something similar. It differs in that it has provision for 2 adjusters that simply screw into it (no clamp - just a 1/4"BSF thread and a slot for fitting the cable). If it is of any use to you, get back to me.
          I'll try to get a photo of it this evening.

Thanks Eddie. The two cables are, I think, for the clutch and the valve lifter, but on the RA/TW the valve lifter cable is anchored on the crank case where the cable goes directly in the front. I'd guess the two cable anchor is DT5/SW5? Thanks for looking! I've arranged something with Rob so I should be right now for this item: photos to follow.

I remember one guy on ebay selling various cables but i cant find him anymore:(

Hi Alex,

Sorry, I make all my own cables. Universal cables are pretty easy to source, and correct soldering of the nipples (usually with the cables) is not too difficult if you use the correct technique. I recommend a good book like "The Vintage Motorcyclists Workshop" by Radco. It has just been republished and is not expensive, in fact you'll reclaim the purchase price on the first set of cables you make. Not to mention all the other great information that you'll find on all other aspects of restoration.

Im sure I can fins some vintage bike company here in Finland and I have picked up some nipples this week.

Some cables are reusable but ones for the inverted leavers need remaking.
