Can anybody tell me where I can find a frame number on a dirt track frame.

It's usually on the left hand side of the gearbox mounting lug.

Hi,
Eddie is quite correct, but please persevere as the numbers are often quite difficult to decipher, some also have the D superimposed on a K the original Douglas trade mark at the end of the number. When you find it we would appreciate you letting us have it to ensure the bike is logged onto The London Douglas register, engine and gearbox numbers would also be very welcome.

I have recently joined the london club and will give the details to Reg. I recently aquired to ex race bikes, have found the number on the dirt track, it,s TF 294 with the K over the D. The eng No is FE.

FE is the prefix for an RA motor? I think we need a photo!
