oil feed pipe

 Can any one please tell me the length of the oil pipe that gose in the oil pump and just pokes into the crankcase on the 250/350 its missing from both my pumps.  eric

Eric,

Sorry, missed this post.

A bit tricky, as I recall the tube has a slight joggle to it to line up with the hole in the rear of the timing chest wall. Also, it is not just a matter of a tube of a certain length. The end is blocked off and there are two small holes in the lower side to attempt to align the oil stream with the grooves in the center crankshaft web that are intended to collect the oil.

The tube is threaded into the pump and there is a jam nut, so some small range of length adjustment is possible.

If you still require, I should be able to pull a timing cover off an engine and make a sketch.

Sorry to resurrect an old post but Ive had the side cover off my 250 today and noticed the oil holes were point at about 2 o'clock I'm presuming this is not correct which way should they point??

They should point more or less straight down, towards the crankshaft.
