Please look at your Dragonfly
« on: 18 Nov 2012 at 10:42 »
If you have a Dragonfly, could you please look at your speedo drive on the bike?
Is there a nut to hold the speedo drive onto the wheel/axle?
If so how thick?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave  If you go to Gen/disc page 2 headed   "Dragonfly rear wheel spacers" started by Les Mills on July 3  @  0951, includes a very good diagram.   Hope this is helpful.  Eric.

Hi Chippy,
Because the speedo drive is not shown on that diagram which I printed off when it was originally provided by Eddie, I cannot tell whether the thin nut and washer are inside or outside of the speedo drive - hence my question.
I just thought it was a fairly simple operation to just have a look at a Dragonfly speedo drive in situ (without asking anybody to remove anything) and let me know if there is a thin nut and washer visible outside of the speedo drive. I realise that it is a Sunday night and people are either in Church or watching Celebrity, but would still be grateful if anybody could glance at this and let me know. Thanks.

Hi Dave,
I do have the information you need, I will send it on to your email address with an attachment, I do not wish to post it here at this time, The Douglas Club is compiling a complete and updated parts list for the Dragonfly and the drawings are not quite finalised as yet, nor have they been proof read and checked for errors. The book will be available through the Club. hopefully by the middle of January!!
Please email back to me direct if for any reason the attachment is not succesful.
Dave

Spacers now sorted, at least until re-check and re-fit the wheel.
